About Allegro Pizza and Grill

Allegro Pizza and Grill is a pizza restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 3942 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA 19104, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as american restaurant, caterer, cheesesteak restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 AM–10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (215) 382-8158. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, allegropizza.com.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

It's not the most spacious, but for a quick bite during a busy Saturday, it worked out fine. Plenty of standing room, and we managed to snag a small table. The atmosphere was lively with a good crowd enjoying their meals.

On July 1, 2026 late evening I called in an order for grilled chicken sandwich. Said everything I wanted on it.. Got there to pick my sandwich up and it was made wrong. Raw onions on a hot cooked sandwiched when I told them fried onions. Sandwich no.2 is remade and now they put cooked and raw onions on it. So asked for a remake of Sandwich all together. Saw guy throw sandwich away. Ok sandwich no.3 was same as sandwich no 2. OMG if it wasn't for my pregnant daughter and the hike of the ride I took I would have taken my mony back like the smart ass at the front counter said (just get ye money back) but no I wanted what I paid for and how I asked for it to be. Smart ass at the front counter was so mad at the third make overs he got a attitude with me raised his voice after I made a comment that reading is fundamental. (TRUE FACTS). I wasn't cooking his staff was. He was really rude, loudly outspoken, when asked for napkins that wasn't put in bag he told me I could walk over to the tables behind me and get them myself. Not, I told him I refused to walk and get napkins and said a few choice words myself. Smart ass just causing a seen with rudeness attracking attention of the whole

Almost a NY Slice! Quite close. Good pull, great size triangle, thin dough, very good crust. Oven roasted piping hot! Great deal, 2 slices + drink for only $10. A steal honestly for the city. Pepperoni, sausage, margarita pizza - all solid, good toppings! Lots of seats. They serve alcohol. Good spot to watch a game. Very nice workers as well. Can get your pizza to go or eat in store.

After having a missed delivery by DoorDash driver, the Allegro staff was very helpful in suggesting to place all orders over the phone directly through them so it goes to their drivers who are much better. They remade my order and had it delivered with their drivers at no cost, since DoorDash was of no help with the delivery or getting the order refunded. Food was excellent as well.

Great food. Pizza and cheesesteaks are very good. The pizza crust is very well made and hand tossed. Quick delivery. Highly recommended.
